Arthur William Fries was born in Portland, Oregon on August 25, 1966 to Glen Fries and Margaret Hayes.  He served in the U.S. Army from April 1987 to January 1994.  Art was the owner/operator of AWF Performance Smog Test & Repair which was located on Menlo in Hemet, California.   He was known as a caring, compassionate, trustworthy and loving man.  Art would go out of his way to help his fellow man expecting nothing in return. He lived by the “Golden Rule”. Art was an active and supportive member of AA. He loved his pets dearly. His late pet dogs, Blue and Squatch had a special place in his heart.

In December 2016, Arthur was diagnosed with Cancer. He remained full of hope and overcame several obstacles during the past 10 months.  He was a true fighter at heart.  On October 22, 2017 in the comfort of his home, Arthur William Fries peacefully passed away.

Art was preceded in death by his father Glen Fires. He is survived by his mother, Margaret  Hayes; sister, Heather Fries; companion, Sylvia Saenz and her adored son, Dakota Campbell; pet cat, Tango; pet dogs, Opie and Shadow.  He is also survived by numerous other family members, friends and faithful clients.

Art will forever be in the hearts of those he loved.
