Donald Jill Watkins

Mr. Donald Jill (Chucky) Watkins was born on March 18, 1961 to the late Mr. C.T. and Mrs. Virgola Garrett Watkins in Talladega County, Alabama. 

During his journey here on earth he confessed Christ at an early age and joined Brunna Valley Baptist Church in Lincoln, Alabama. He received his education in the Calhoun County School System at Oxford High School in Oxford, Alabama.

On Monday, April 8, 2024, Donald answered the Master’s called. God dispatched an Angel of Mercy to his bedside at his home in Hemet, California. 

He was preceded in death by: his parents, Mr. C.T. Watkins and Mrs. Virgola Garrett Watkins grandparents, Mr. Joe and Mrs. Pearline Garrett, two sisters, Ida Pearl Springer Workman, and Katie Ann Watkins, and two brothers Bobby Ray Watkins and Gussie Gene Watkins.

Memories of Donald (Chucky) will forever be cherished by his sisters: Mae Martin (Freddie) of Huntsville, Alabama: Sharlene Watkins of Annistion, Alabama: and a very special friend Karen Murdock of Hemet, California: Aunts: Etta Butts of Florida:   Lillie Estell, Kathy Valsquiz of Oceanside, California:  four uncles, James Garrett (Shelia) , Michael Garrett both of Anniston, Alabama; Jerry Garrett,  of Houston, Texas, and  Joe Edward of Chicago, Illinois;  and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
