Edward Alfred Vincent died peacefully on Friday June 30, 2017 at Hemet Valley Medical Center at the age of 98.

Edward was born on May 7, 1919 in Central Falls, Rhode Island. He is survived by his wife Margaret and his son Alfred. His first wife Beatrice passed away in November 2003.

Edward went into the Army after high school and served in the 180th Infantry Regiment in World War II. Edward fought in North Africa, Italy, Southern France, and the Rhineland in Central Europe.  During Edward's service he received the following decorations: European African Middle Eastern Theater Campaign Ribbon, Victory Medal, Purple Heart, and the Good Conduct Medal. He received an Honorable discharge on December 31, 1945.

 Edward cared deeply for his family, friends, and community. He was always willing to help others and was active in working on community projects and was a member of the Hemet Civil Defense Force.

 Edward enjoyed travel and visited Germany, Italy, England, Switzerland, Mexico, Canada, Zambia, Israel, and Turkey. Edward retired from Hughes Aircraft in 1980 after 26 years of service. Edward loved having time to spend with family and friends in Hemet. There is no question that he will be missed greatly by his family and all those that knew him.
