Evelyn Ruth Hall

Evelyn Ruth Hall was born April 29, 1931 to Clyde and Irma Hooker. She began her life in Colorado with her 13 siblings. Evelyn married Howard Hall on May 14, 1950 and they had 4 children, Diana, Earl, Kenneth, and Donna, and raised their children in Southern California.  She answered to many names; Mom, Mother, Sis, Sister, Eb, Granny, and Granny Goose, were a few. Evelyn was preceded in death by 12 siblings, her husband Howard, son Kenneth, and daughter Donna. 

Evelyn loved spending time at sporting events of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She enjoyed baking and being with family as much as possible. Isolation during the COVID-19 pandemic was rough on her, but she looked forward to phone calls and "window visits" from family members. 

Looking through Evelyn's Bible, her family members were reminded of her favorite scriptures; Romans 8:28, Philippians 4:1 and 4:13 and her favorite hymns; “Amazing Grace”, “He Touched Me”, and “Softly and Tenderly”. Evelyn’s faith and trust were in Christ Jesus and she knew, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that her eternal home was waiting for her in heaven. Her legacy lives on of serving others and showing others the love of Jesus.

Evelyn passed away peacefully in her grandson’s home on January 7, 2021, around 7:30pm, with her family surrounding her. She is survived by her sister Rose Ann, her daughter Diana Bruns (Kent Bruns), son Earl Hall (Loreen Hall), 8 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren. She will be missed by so many.
