Guy Thomas Schembri

Guy Thomas Schembri passed away on March 23, 2024 in Hemet, California.
He was born in Van Nuys, California on November 30, 1955, son to the late Marilyn and William Schembri. He moved to Hemet in his teen years and spent most of his life there, graduating from Hemet High School in 1973. Guy was a 3rd generation roofer who proudly served his community as the respected business owner of Weathertight Roofing Inc since 1983. He was a cherished and dedicated father who always worked hard to provide a great life for his family. He was involved in coaching his daughter’s softball team for the local Valley-Wide program. Guy was known to smile at anyone and everyone. He loved his community, and wasn’t shy to strike up conversation with whoever he crossed paths with. He will forever be remembered as the cool dad to friends of the family.

Guy is survived by his wife, Sharon Bradford Schembri. He is also survived by his 5 children; Jeremy, James, Nicholas, Jacob and Jenna. He is preceded in death by his son, Neil Thomas Schembri. He was known as the lovable Papa Guy to his 11 grandchildren; Josie, Chloe, Lucas, Orion, Aiden, Caleb, Ella, Willam, Julian, Jakson and Juliet. He will be greatly missed, but his legacy will live on through them all.

A Celebration of Life will be held on April 8, 2024 from 11am-3pm at the Valle Vista Community Center located at 43935 Acacia Ave in Hemet, California. Friends, family and members of the community are all welcome.  In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Friends of Valley-Wide Recreation.
