Tribute

Cheryl Fields was born July 17th, 1957 to the parents of the late Norris J. Fields and Edna L. Fields in Stockton, California. She was the 2nd to last born out of 8 children. “The baby girl of the bunch.”

Cheryl accepted the Lord as her personal Savior and was baptized at an early age. Shortly after when she was 12, the family moved from Stockton to Riverside, California. She finished middle school and continued her studies at Perris High School. After graduating, she went to the local college where she studied Record Management.  A couple of years later Cheryl was blessed with two children.  She was married to the late Rufus Jefferson.

Cheryl was a member of the Eastern Stars Organization of Mead Valley, Saint James Grand Lodge.  She had a love for writing, crocheting, music of all genres and dancing. She really knew how to have a good time. Her smile and personality are unforgettable. Cheryl was a woman of many hats. Always caring and giving. Her door was always open no matter the time day or hour. She was there when you needed her no matter what it was.  She would cook a meal, watch the kids, give a ride, and allow you to borrow a dollar; anything she could to help those she loved and cared about so dearly.

The Lord called Cheryl home on May 2nd, 2020 in Hemet, California. She will truly be missed. Cheryl was proceeded in death by her father, Norris J Fields; husband, Rufus Jefferson; two brothers, Darell and Duane Fields.

To forever cherish her memory is her beloved family: mother, Edna L. Fields; seven siblings, Jarell, Steven, Jonell, Denise, Robin, Micheal and Philip; daughter, Shannon and son-in-law Antrone; their children: Desjanae, Deshelon, Antrone II, and Mesiah; grand-daughter, Laila;

son, Shedgwin and daughter-in-law, Tashina; their children: Sharlynn, Shedgwin, Jr., Savannah and Savonte; as well as a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, extended children, family and friends.

Psalm 121:1-2

1 I lift up my eyes to the mountains—

where does my help come from?

2 My help comes from the Lord,

the Maker of heaven and earth.
