Donald R. Edwards

Donald Edwards was born on September 13th in Warrick County Indiana to Delilah and Elza Edwards.  He joined the Navy at age 18. While in the Navy, he traveled to many places including Hawaii and Japan.  In 1958 he married the love of his life, Martha.  After leaving the Navy they remained in California where he began his career as a heat treat inspector for Cal-Doran. He worked for this company for over 40 years, until his retirement in 2000.  After retiring they moved to Hemet where he enjoyed playing cards, dominos, fishing, and word search puzzles.  He also enjoyed his church life and was active in his church family.  His greatest pleasure was spending time with his family.  He was proud of his service in the Navy, but family was his proudest accomplishment.

Donald passed away on March 4th after a short illness. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Martha, a daughter , Kristy of Upland, a son in law John, granddaughters Brandi of Fate Texas and Rebecca of Upland, CA, a grandson in law, James and great grandchildren, Paige, Luke and Tessa.
