Gerald James Root was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. Born in California on February 2, 1951 to James and Delores Root. Gerald was a cook for many years. His hobbies included, spending time with his family friends and pets as well as watching old TV shows.

On February 13, 2018 Gerald passed away in Hemet, California. He is survived by his wife, Caroline Root; daughters, Diana Root, Rebecca Root and Elizabeth Elmer; grandchildren, Broke, Ava, Josiah and Aaron; siblings, Rick Root, Joseph Root and Cindy Miller as well as beloved pets and other family members and friends.
