Grant Ernest Searl, second son of Jerry and Dodi Searl, passed away on January 27, 2022 of heart failure due to complications. He was born on December 24, 1953, raised, schooled, and worked in Hemet, California most of his blessed life. He has always sought the guidance and goodness of God. Hence, he was hard-working, energetic, adventurous, enthusiastic, sociable, and loved to laugh.
Grant was a fourth-generation farmer at Searl Farms in Diamond Valley five miles south of Hemet for C&G Enterprises taking charge of the operation and servicing of tractors, cultivators, grain harvesters, and heavy-duty machinery.
After enlisting in The U.S. Army after high school, Grant became a Senior Gunner expert marksman stationed in Germany.
Grant enjoyed camping, fishing, singing, playing the drums, and collecting knives. He’s always had a sense of humor that attracted many friends and family that enjoyed visiting and laughing with him.
Grant is survived by his children Joshua Searl and Jenni McBride with grandchildren Bailey and Kobe McBride, and siblings Craig, Reed, and Julie Weidemann.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, February 25, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Hemet Valley Mortuary located at 402 N. San Jacinto St., Hemet, California 92543. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Paralyzed Veterans of America.
