Jerry Lyn Peterman

Beloved Husband, Father, Son, Brother, Grandfather and Friend 

Jerry Lyn Peterman was born in Marion, Illinois on July 9, 1954. He served in the United States  Marine Corps from 1972 to 1974. He was a Licensed General Contractor/Owner and Operator of Double J Construction.  Jerry had a passion for helping others.  His pastimes included detailing his truck, riding his motorcycle, and spending time with his family and close friends. On March 2, 2018, in Hemet, California Jerry passed away surrounded by his family.  He was preceded in death by his father, Ralph.

To forever cherish his memory is his wife of 39 years, Tammy; 3 children, Michael, Jason and Jessica; mother, Carma; 2 siblings, twin brother Terry and Carmelita; 7 grandchildren and numerous other family members and friends.

Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free
I'm following the path God laid for me.
I took His hand when I heard him call;
I turned my back and left it all.
I could not stay another day,
To laugh, to love, to work or play.
Tasks left undone must stay that way;
I found that place at the close of the day.
If my parting has left a void,
Then fill it with remembered joy.
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss;
Ah yes, these things, I too will miss.
Be not burdened with times of sorrow
I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow.
My life's been full, I savored much;
Good friends, good times, a loved ones touch.
Perhaps my time seems all too brief;
Don't lengthen it now with undue grief.
Lift up your heart and share with me,
God wanted me now, He set me free.
