American Veteran 01

John Wayne Bradley

November 10, 1938 ~ August 13, 2019 (age 80) 80 Years Old

Tribute

John was born in Oak Grove, Louisiana in 1938.  After a brief stint in the Army was cut short due to a medical discharge, he relocated to Southern California in 1957.  Although he would spend the rest of his life living in California, he always took great pride in his “southern” roots.

In 1958 he met Betty, the love of his life, leading to over 60 years of marriage.  As John excelled in the Aerospace industry, he worked for the same company for over 40 years, advancing from the position of an entry level shipping and receiving clerk to the highest levels of management, ultimately being one of the pioneers in the commercial airline overhaul industry.  He and Betty raised a family of three children that would blossom into the family tree it is today.  After a successful career, John would retire (in stages) as he and Betty moved to their present home in San Jacinto.

Throughout his adult life, for nearly 60 years, John was devoted to the Lord and served faithfully as a teacher of The Word and lay leader in the local church.  His most recent service was at Valley EV Free, including serving as an Elder, Usher and beloved teacher who was loved by his “Heart to Heart” Seniors Sunday School Class.

John is survived by his wife, Betty Bradley; son Michael Bradley and wife Kathleen, daughter Janice Bernabe and husband Dylan, son Don Bradley and wife Jerri; nine grandchildren, Jonathan and wife Wally, Benjamin, Christopher, Victoria and husband Brad, Ashley, Derick and wife Kayla, Nicholas, Emily and husband Christian, Kirrah; two step-grandchildren, Katelynn, Austin; four great grandchildren, Jeremiah, Luke, Oliver, Augustine; step great granddaughter Amity; also brother Walton Bradley and wife Janet, sister Betty Carroll and husband Von.
