August 16, 1944 ~ July 10, 2020 (age 75) 75 Years Old

Tribute

Jose Castillo was born in Michoacan, Mexico and passed at the age of 75 in Hemet, California. He was the oldest son of his late mother’s 5 children. From a young age, Jose worked hard at anything and everything he did. Always having pride in the work he did, a trait he instilled in all those around him.He worked various jobs, including being a metal polisher for over 30 years. This granted him many life lessons, adventures, stories, and much knowledge. He loved to learn and share his knowledge, he knew just about everything and anything.  At the age of 21, he met the love of his life, Mary Castillo and together they had the best 54 years of life together. They raised 7 children. They were blessed with 32 grandchildren, and 22 great-grandchildren. Jose was a man of few words but when he had something to say, it was profound and meaningful. There are countless times, Jose would strike up a conversation with a story from his childhood, stories of a different time, and there was never a doubt that it wouldn't be a great story. He was without a doubt the greatest father, grandfather, and great-grandfather any of us could ask for. His family was the most important thing to him and the love shared between him and Mary was the truest of loves. We knew where one went, the other followed. They were a unit without Mary there was no Jose, and no Jose there was no Mary. No matter how many times he waited in the car or indulged her shopping trips, Jose was there. One of his greatest pastimes was fishing with his boys and was happy just spending the day with them even if there was no catch and the day was a bit stressful, the quality time together meant the world to him. He loved deeply and held each and everyone close to his heart. He protected and loved his family like no other father could. Mary was the heart of our family, but Jose was the soul that gave life and encouragement. He will always be remembered by those he loved and cherished. After 2 months without his love, Jose and Mary are together once again, as they always have been. He is survived by his 6 children Lizzie, Susan, Albert, Julissa, Edward, and Carlos. He joins Mary and their son Tony in eternal life. We are sad to have lost Jose but know he is at peace with love and family. We love you.
