Kay Frances Jones

Kay Francis Jones, born Feb. 15th 1943 in Bedford, Indiana to parents General and Ora Stigall. She is the oldest of seven children.

Departed this life to be with our Lord on July 6th 2018 after a lingering illness.

Kay is survived by her loving husband Ronnie Paul Jones and four siblings, Anna Marcotte (husband Ken), General M Stigall (wife Jeannine), Greg Stigall (wife Sandi) and Jeffery Stigall (wife Dora).  Ronnie and Kay celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary the day before she passed.  Kay was preceded in death by brothers Rick and Ken.

Kay loved Jesus, dancing, bowling and most of all being a mother to her younger brothers.  Kay and Ronnie never had children of there own but that never stopped her from being a mother.  After she was married Kay often said she would never have had time for kids anyway because she was too busy raising her many nephews and nieces and she loved them as her own sons and daughters. Kay was once on the American Band Stand show and had the honor of dancing with Dick Clark.

In her later years Kay retired from the occupation of Service Station attendant. Most of her career was spent as the Station Manager of the “Fill-um-Fast Service” Station in Fallbrook, California for 15 years where she won the “Station Manager of the Year Award” at least once.  One of the employees she hired was her mother, Ora, who had never worked outside the home (other than raising seven kids and being receptionist and bookkeeper for her husband’s business). That was a proud day for both mother and daughter.

Kay was a devout Christian and often sang solos in the church and also lead Bible study groups. She assisted her husband, Ronnie, in preparing sermons while he was actively preaching. Her love for the Lord was unwavering and the family is comforted in knowing she is at home with Him. We know that our Mom and Dad were waiting at the gate with Dad rejoicing as Mom and Kay were together again dancing in the golden streets.

In lieu of flowers her family suggests donations made out to Ronnie Jones to help defray final expenses.
