Kay Michelle Villareal, age 58, passed away peacefully at her Hemet residence, surrounded by family and friends, on Sunday, January 12, 2020 after a short, courageous, and well-fought battle with cancer.
A celebration of life service will be held at the Hemet Valley Mortuary on January 18, 2020. Viewing to be held from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Service will begin at 3:30 p.m. with a reception to follow at the Villareal residence.
Kay was born on December 13, 1961 in Hemet, California to Virgil K. Wigley and Dovie V. Wigley. She attended and graduated from San Jacinto High School. A lifelong resident of the Hemet/San Jacinto Valley, she worked as a property manager which allowed her to fulfill her passion for helping others.
Kay is survived by her parents, brother, Keith D. Wigley, daughter, Tanaya M. Wellmerling (Craig), and three grandchildren, Leah M. Gadsby (18), Alexis M. Wellmerling (10), and Ethan C. Wellmerling (7), numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Besides spending time with family and friends, Kay enjoyed nature, traveling, puzzles, concerts, and living her life to the fullest. She embodied the value of work hard, play harder. Kay was fun, caring, and bright and touched the lives of many. Her life was a blessing, her memory a treasure, she’s loved beyond words, and will be missed beyond measure.
