He was raised in Worcester with his brother Roland. As a child, he discovered a love of reading, particularly with fantasy and science fiction. As a teenager, he met the love of his life, Dorothy Dube, and the two got married after graduation, and were together for 62 years. He went to trade school, where he learned to be a printer, a job that would allow him to care for his new family for many years. After moving to California in 1979, Lawrence joined his wife’s business and helped her run it until they both retired. Lawrence and Dorothy have three children, and he shared with them his love of music, movies, books and sports, loves they carry with them to this day. He was kind, gentle and always ready with a laugh. He is survived by his wife Dorothy, and three children, Andrew, Barbara, and Christopher, and four grandchildren, Sam, Sabrina, Harrison, and Sophia. He will be missed very much.
