Lewis Emil George Bruns

Lewis E. G. Bruns, 97 years old of Hemet died December 13, 2020 at Hemet Medical Center. Lewis was borrn in Stirum, North Dakota on March 12, 1923; he was raised in Wisconsin with his 12 brothers and sisters on a farm. Lewis served in the Army Air Force.  He worked at Northrop Aircraft Company for over 30 years as a supervisor then retired For over 43 years he lived in Hemet, CA and was a  member of Trinity Lutheran Church.  

Lewis was married to Beverly Jean for 65 years.  Lewis had a love for gardening, planting flowers, listening and dancing to all kinds of music especially singing “You are my sunshine” to his sweetheart.  Loved to play cards, especially poker and solitaire. He enjoyed all the dinners and picnics with family and friends. He was admired for his patience and helping people when needed and always greeted everyone with a smile. He was a happy man all of his life.

Survivors include his daughter, Genie Lou Carter of Hawthorne, CA, his son Lewis Dannie Bruns and his wife Jennifer of The Villages, FL, his grandchildren, Tanya Carter of Hawthorne, CA, Tammy Monteleone and her husband Harold of Apple Valley, CA, Tisha Carter-Letchworth and her husband Paul of Las Vegas, NV, Brian Bruns, and Darla of Concord, CA, Misty Bruns of Martinez, CA and his five grandchildren, six great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren.

A private service will be held at San Jacinto Valley Cemetery on December 30, 2020.
