Linda Bernice Shepherd

September 18, 1953 ~ April 29, 2017 (age 63) 63 Years Old

Linda Bernice Shepherd, 63 passed away on Saturday, April 29, 2017 in the comfort of her own home.

Linda Shepherd was born in Holtville, California on September 18, 1953 to Joe and Helen (Graf) Rohrer. She attended Hemet High School where she met Doug Shepherd and they were married on March 4, 1972 at the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd in Hemet.  They were married over forty five years and spent their life in Hemet where Linda worked at Ramona Manor nursing home.  Linda later worked as an in-home caregiver to elderly people who relied on her for their day to day needs. She loved people and her job.

Linda loved to spend time with family, friends and her dogs.  She lifted many spirits, was a great listener and was also a best forever friend. Anyone who visited her home was treated like royalty. There was always an abundance of food, dessert, coffee and laughter. Linda enjoyed watching old movies and western movies on the AMC channel and she also loved movie trivia and keeping up with the latest news.  She called family and friends daily and was always a delight to talk to.

She was a wonderful treasure to us and our lives will never be the same.  We all loved her and feel truly blessed to have had her in our lives.  She will live forever in our hearts and we are grateful to know she is now in the presence of our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ.

Left to cherish Linda’s memory are her husband Doug Shepherd, four children Wanda Rohrer, Lisa (Tim) Cassel, Heather Shepherd and Chad Shepherd, six grandchildren Paige, Matthew, Cody, Annie, Noah and Nathan and one great grandchild Mason.  She is also survived by her mother Helen Mower, sisters Janet Rohrer, Arlene (Stuart) Brenner and brother Joe V. Rohrer.  Linda joins her father Joe Rohrer who passed away in 1999.

"If you could see me Now."

If you could see me now you wouldn't shed a tear,
Though you may not understand why,
I am no longer there.
Remember my spirit,
That is the real me.
Because I'm still very much alive, I've just been set free!
Oh, if  you could only see!
I have beheld our Father's face and I've touched my Savior's hand.
All of Heavens angels rejoiced as I entered the promised land.
Beyond the gates of pearl, I 've walked on the golden streets,
I've touched the walls of jasper and dipped my foot in the crystal sea.
The beauty is beyond words and nothing could compare,
I've even seen your mansion and someday, I'll meet you there.
Let Jesus be your guide because His Word will show you the way!
So, please don't cry because we will meet again someday.
