Marvin D. DeBrask was born in Los Angeles, CA, at the Queen of Angels Hospital on May 30, 1930. At a young age he moved to Needles, CA, where he was raised by his grandparents, George and Petra Acuna.  He attended school in Needles and was president of his graduating class.  He continued his schooling at Woodbury Business College, and he graduated from Skadron Business College.

In 1951, he entered the service; graduated from Adjutant General’s School and served in the Korean Conflict as an Army Sergeant.  After returning from Korea, he was discharged in 1953.  He worked for Security Title Insurance Company in Riverside until 1957, when he accepted a position with Hemet Federal Savings & Loan Assn. in Hemet.  He left Hemet Federal in 1962 and became a partner in Hemet Escrow Company and later an owner of Palm Springs Escrow Company.  In 1975, he returned to work for Hemet Federal and retired in 1995 as a Loan Administrator and Senior Vice President.

His career was in the real estate related business fields as a title officer, escrow officer, lender and investor.  During his career, he was President of Riverside County Escrow Assn., President of Hemet Jaycees, served on the board of Hemet Hospice and Hemet Hospital Foundation, and President of Hemet-San Jacinto Valley Exchange Club. Marvin was also a Volunteer for the Ramona Pageant Assn. for 30 years.

On April 4, 2018 in Moreno Valley, CA Marvin passed away at Kaiser Hospital.  He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Carolyn DeBrask; daughter, LeeAnn (Tom) Stewart; son, Bill (Terri) Reynolds; daughter-in-law, Casey DeBrask; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; cousins, Dennis, Steve and Alan Murray as well as many other family members and friends.
