Tribute

Mildred Lee Adams (Millie) went to her Heavenly home on December 14, 2018. Her untimely death occurred as a result of a house fire. She was 85 years old and lived in Hemet, CA for 15 years.

She was born in Covington, TN on November 11, 1933 to the late Amos Adams and Cora Lee Berryman. The family moved to Omaha, NE where she resided and received her education. During her life, she lived in Cleveland, OH, Albuquerque, NM and ultimately moved to Hemet, CA.

Mildred lived a spirited and adventurous life, enjoyed horse racing, religion and traveling. She once owned a consignment shop in Hemet where she met many people and made friends. She was a strong-willed person who stood her ground and always knew her facts about many issues of the day. 

She leaves behind a daughter, Judy Jones Pointer (William)of Charlottesville, VA, two sons- Daniel E. Adams of Santa Fe, NM and David E. Adams of San Francisco, CA, two sisters-Sherrie Berryman McCain(Cecil) of Houston, TX and Vickie Berryman Harris(Charlie) of Lee’s Summit, MO, one granddaughter, Jessica D. Pointer of Charlottesville, VA, one uncle-Warren Williams of Cleveland, OH and one aunt-Lorraine Williams of Omaha, NE, and two nieces, two nephews and a host of cousins and friends.

Sincere Appreciation and Gratitude to the Evans-Brown & Hemet Valley Mortuary of Hemet, CA and Mrs. Danette Moore who have been entrusted with the remains. A private family memorial will be held later in the year.

The family would like to give special thanks and appreciation to the following who were so kind and caring: The Hemet Fire Department and Battalion Chief Greg Lloyd, The Riverside Coroner’s Office-Deputy Devore & Staff, Ms. Cindy Huey, Ms. Robyn Rhodes, Ms. Juanita Cordera, Mr. Brian Rokos, Ms. Nicole Gunn, Ms. Candace Chaitlin and Mr. Terry Scillion.
