Norman Craig Hankey

Norman “Craig” Hankey went home to be with our Lord and Savior on December 27, 2017.

Craig was born to Norman and Bertha Hankey on July 10, 1950 in Salt Lake City, Utah.  He was the third child of six children.  Craig’s father was in the military so as a young man he traveled to many bases in the USA.  They settled in the Perris Valley area where Craig was a devoted member of the Perris Pentecostal Church.  He attended Perris Union High School where he graduated in the class of 1969.

Craig later met and married the love of his life Jeannette Lawson.  They lived in the Perris Valley area where he worked at Alpha Resin.  They later moved to Oregon.  Craig attended the Reeds Port Christian Church.  He was very dedicated to helping with Sunday Services and Volunteered to help with maintenance and help with errands of church members.  He loved fishing, hunting, clam digging and picking wild blackberries in which he would share with friends and neighbors.  Craig is preceded in death by his wife, Jeannette, parents Norman and Bertha Hankey, brother, Howard Hill, sister, Carolyn Hankey.  He is survived by his brothers Delbert and Thomas Hankey, and sister Diana Hankey, several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and many cousins. 

Craig will be remembered for his smile and his BIG heart.  He will truly be missed.
