Richard Lee Alderson
Passed from this life on Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at home in Hemet, CA. Richard was born on November 24, 1946 in Shopiere, Wisconsin. He attended Hononegah Community High School in Rockton, IL. He obtained his Associates of Arts degree and many certifications in Quality Assurance. He lived in Orange County for many years while working as a Quality Control Engineer and in Quality Assurance Management for the nuclear, aircraft, and aerospace industries before retiring in Hemet, CA. Richard was very proud to be a past member of the Irvine Jaycees, serving as president and earning a lifetime senatorship. He was also a member of the Hemet Elks Lodge and Fraternal Order of Eagles. He enjoyed sailing on his boat and singing karaoke with friends and family. He traveled to many countries including Japan, Scotland, and Mexico. He was well-loved by everyone he met and will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents Isabelle McClellan Alderson Harrison and Thomas Charles Alderson, as well as his brother Thomas Charles Alderson Jr. He is survived by his loving wife Joanie Alderson; son Richard Alderson Jr. (CA) and daughters Laura Horsey (CO), Christina Alderson (CA), and Carly Alderson (CA); siblings James (Jill) Alderson (WA), Curtiss (Patricia) Alderson (CA), Sally (Bill) Raehl (IL), and Lawrence Alderson (CA).
A celebration of life will be at 2pm on June 22, 2019 at Hemet Valley Mortuary (403 N. SanJacinto St. Hemet, CA 92543). Immediately following will be a reception held in his honor at the Fraternal Order of Eagles (1269 S. State St. Hemet, CA 92543). A graveside service will take place in Shopiere, Wisconsin at a later date and time.
