Salvador Hernandez

Salvador Zarco Hernandez, 84, of Hemet, California, passed away on Sunday, March 6, 2022, at the Riverside Community Hospital, in Riverside, California. 
 
Salvador was born on August 6, 1937, to Jose Hernandez Lopez and Juana Zarco Perez in Morelia Michoacan, Mexico. 
 
Salvador is survived by his wife Elsie of 44 years, four sons, five daughters, and many loving grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family.  
 
Salvador was a loving father, husband, grandfather, great grandfather and friend to everyone who knew him. 
 
Salvador came to United Stated in 1974 where he worked several jobs. He worked for the City of Lawndale, CA. for 30 years in Landscape Maintenance and retired August 2004. 
 
While he was an avid outdoorsman, that loved fishing (Life Membership of North America Fishing Club), gardening, cooking, the Los Angeles Dodgers and listening to Mexican music. Salvador was hands-on, building and crafting items in and around his home. 
 
Salvador will be deeply missed by all those who were in his life. 

I'd rather be fishing  

most any time - 

morning or evening,  

rain or shine. 

Just show me the tackle  

and give me some bait. 

Then watch me go fishing –  

the rest can wait. 

I'll catch 'em  

and clean 'em  

and cook 'em up fast, 

And once we start eating  

they for sure won't last! 

I'd rather be fishing  

most any time –  

morning or evening,  

rain or shine. 

If others wonder why I'm missin' 

Just tell 'em I've gone fishin'
