Sherryl Linnea Ridlen

On Thursday, January 5, 2023, Sherryl Linnea Ridlen, loving mother and grandmother, passed away at the age of 67.

Sherryl was born on August 31, 1955 in Corona, CA to Charles and Dorothy Rooks. She was a college graduate with various degrees in art, math, and special education. She worked as a Teacher's Aide for fifteen years and was currently working at Tahquitz High School in Hemet, CA. Sherryl was divorced and raised two children, James and Crystal.

Sherryl loved working with her students and making a difference in their lives. Her passion was art and she was incredibly talented in all things art related. She made beautiful and whimsical clay creations and enjoyed gifting them to her friends and family. She adored animals and had a chihuahua named Cinnamon that was a loving companion. Her greatest joy was getting to spend time with her grandchildren and watching them grow.

Sherryl is survived by her son James, daughter Crystal, seven grandchildren, Kadence, Sophia, James Jr., Bryden, Briar Rose, Aiden, and Carly, her sister Terri, brother Joel, niece Jamie and nephew Travis, as well as several cousins.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, February 24th, 2023 at the Hemet Valley Mortuary, 403 N. San Jacinto Street, Hemet, CA. Flowers may be sent to the mortuary c/o Crystal Ridlen.
