Ted Hamilton

Ted Hamilton passed away November 14 lovingly surrounded by his wife, children and family members after a catastrophic stroke.  He was an amazing husband, father and friend who touched many lives with his kindness, sense of humor, and love for virtually everyone he met.  Ted was everyone’s favorite.  He was funny, gentle and kind, with a smile for everyone in his path.  Family was everything to Ted and spending time with family was his favorite past time.  He was completely devoted to his wife of 32 years, Margo.  Together they raised, with love and humor, their wonderful blended family.  They welcomed, with excitement and open arms, their 13 precious grandchildren.  And in May, 2009, Ted discovered that he had a son, two grandsons and a daughter-in-law he didn’t know about who instantly became a perfect addition and great blessing to his family. 

The world has lost, and Heaven has gained, the most loving, goofy, joyful, spiritual, loyal and honest husband, father and friend.  It will never be the same here on earth for his family and friends, but they are betting that right now he is riding heaven’s version of a dune buggy, golf cart, motorcycle or some other fast and fun vehicle – with a smile that is bigger than ever. 

Afterglow

I’d like the memory of me to be a happy one.
I’d like to leave an afterglow of smiles when life is done.
I’d like to leave an echo whispering softly down the ways,
Of happy times and laughing times and bright and sunny days.
I’d like the tears of those who grieve, to dry before the sun;
Of happy memories that I leave when life is done.
