Robert (Bob) C. Reis

June 30, 1931 ~ February 8, 2017 (age 85) 85 Years Old

Robert C. (Bob) Reis passed away peacefully February 8 at his home in Hemet, Ca. Bob was 85 years old. He was born in 1931 to Franklin and Bertha Reis in  Allentown Pennsylvania and graduated from Allentown High School in 1949. In 1951 Bob joined the Navy and become a member of the SeaBees. Their motto was “Hop it-Fix it-Can do!”

After being honorably discharged from the Navy in 1955, Bob went to work for Coca Cola in Yakima as a truck mechanic and later moved into the vending department eventually managing the vending department. Bob was with Coke for over 25 years and met many lifelong friends.

Between working a second job at night pumping gas and his career at Coke, Bob always found time for trips with the family to the beach, jeeping in the mountains, band concerts, and baseball/softball games. He was always there for his kids.

Bob moved to Tri Cities area working for Coke. After leaving Coke, he moved to the San Francisco Bay area working for Coffee Mat, then later Rowe Vending in the Southern Cal area. During this time he met the love of his life, Julie Carnicle and welcomed Julie’s children into his life like they were his own. He later started his own vending distribution company TAMM Distributing which he operated until his retirement.

Bob and Julie were inseparable together, actively volunteering their time to the church and to their family. Bob become the neighborhood “fix it” man. Everybody had a project for him it seems like, and he always did it with a smile. The same held true with their church, if something needed fixed they knew Bob could handle it.

Bob’s biggest source of pride was his family.  Bob and Julie made countless trips to Washington and Arizona to see the kids, and were thrilled when the grandkids started arriving.

Bob had a gentle, caring, and giving heart. His family was everything to him.

Bob, Dad, Grandpa, Papa…….we are going to miss you!
